I'm planning a 2 week trip to morocco in May and am trying to figure out what to do about surfboards. I want to take my own with me but don't know if I can bring myself to spend the 40 pounds each way to take them on the flight with ryanair (especially not knowing if there'll even be any good waves while I'm there).
I'll probably be hanging around Taghazhout and Safi, any idea what the cost of hiring boards will be around there? Also, what is the condition/range of boards to choose from - I'm pretty fussy about boards and if they're gonna be beaten up and waterlogged I'll just pay the 80 pounds...
Any advice would be great...

I was at www.surfberbere.com in November. The staff is super friendly, I would suggest checking their site and even dropping them an email. They can set you up with accomodations. There are a bunch of places at Taraghazut to rent, stay, etc... Conditions vary...
As for boards, walking around every corner store was selling one (and not at awesome prices either), as for rental, prices vary and you can get some good board (s) I figure.
Check out the Surf Berbere guys, I am confident they will advise you.

Boards in Taghazout are not really good as you can never find a wide range of sizes and shapes, since all boards almost are just baught from the traveller surfer crossing Morocco They are some shops that have new boards for sale and one has some resin8 boards.
I stayed at Africa Extrem Apartments and hired a Pukas from them for 10 Euros. They have about 30 quality Pukas for hire.
check theer website www.africaextrem.com

For boards rentals, just check http://www.rentasurfboard.com, in Taghazout they have a full range of Surftech and it costs 80 Euros a week.
