water temp

I am going to Dunedin, New Zealand from January to June and want to find out what the water temps are.  Anybody help me?

Yeah mate, its bloody cold down south in Dunedin. Ul need a 4/3 steamer at least. It gets to about 16deg I think and drops to about 7? deg during winter. Some great waves to had around the whole region there though...

wicked time of the year good beachie barrels a really good 3/2 should do the job but in saying that ive worn a 4/3 down there on one summer trip

If your comnig from a warmer climate I'd definetly bring a 4/3, even if your going in the summer time. As for the Autumn and winter it's boot and hood material. Surfing in  and around Dunedin is quality,  the0nightlife is good and fish & chips are cheap.
