Got 3 surfs at New Brighton in Chch + was pleasantly surprised at the vibe for the number of people in the water compared to home. And also way more females than down here, which too was/is a good thing. Had surfs at Mangas and Meaties; just gotta really watch the winds and tides to be onto it. Normally you spy the locals off somewhere with boards on their cars.
