Consistancy and trip length.

« on: January 25 2007 06:01:00 »

Howsit people?,im a friendly non greedy surfer from the south coast NSW, im kinda sick of the lack of left hand pointbreaks.
Or comparing new zealand to NSW it seems NSW has heaps of rights, NZ has the good lefts.

Anyway i plan on doing a trip and surfing some waves like Rags, the wreck, and some other lefts.

My question is, if i dont want to come home without surfing some really good days, how long should i stay for?
Is north island more consistant than NSW?

Im thinking i will go in march and stay for six weeks.

And is it ok with the fuzz if i sleep in my car near the beach the whole time?

Thanks ill check that out.

Just one other thing, hows the average water temp in autumn?

I dont currently have a 4/3, but i have two good sealed 3/2's and can use one with a 1mm short john underneath.

Do many people surf without booties or gloves?

Shiould i get a hood?

Sorry for so many questions.
Cheers.
