Moving to Auckland

« on: May 07 2007 19:05:00 »

Hey guys I'm going to be moving to Auckland soon, to make things short, I started surfing a few months ago in Florida and I'm looking to find the best possible surf area in or around Auckland. Is the water cold? Can you surf year round?

I'm not from NZ so i don't have any details but judging from mags and movies, NZ looks like a cross between Indo and Nova Scotia... North of Auckland there is an area  called called 100mile beach (i think ) and the whole area is supposed to be epic...

In short, you're very stoked..! it will make Flordia look like a kiddie pool ( no offence )

South island is colder for sure but still insane surf!
