budget surf camp 2 weeks in November?« on: May 16 2014 11:05:00 »
I'm looking for a surf spot for a two week vacation in November..
I'm an intermediate beginner I'd say surfing on a mini malibu 7'2" right now and definitely want to improve a bit...
I'm a bit tight on budget and can't spend 1700$/week, so I'd like to have some people around of course I'm not into the super crowds especially since I'm not totally comfortable yet on my board.
I'd like to have some surf lessons at the beginning to get back into the surfing mood.
any idea where to go and where to stay? Maybe something with lessons included?
thanks to all for your advice!

Somewhere around San Juan Del Sur has some ok spots, I think Costa Rica or the Dominican republic are better for intermediates though.

Our beachfront surf lodge is located in beautiful Popoyo Nicaragua. We do surf lessons here right in front of the lodge and have have several other options for mild waves that are within a short walk. We also have a 4x4 land cruiser and a 30' panga for reaching the boat access only breaks. We have private 1 room casitas available with or without air, a kitchenette option and onsite food is available. Our lodge has a large beachfront pool for relaxing after surf and plenty of hammocks and loungers. Please contact us for details, photos and pricing. We are the only beachfront surf camp in the area of Popoyo. [email protected]

I've not been as I am also planning on a trip in november but have contacted lots of people that have been to Popoyo and really enjoyed it. A couple have recommended the Wild Waves place to stay.
