Nicaragua - Managua and Quizala« on: May 10 2017 18:05:00 »
a week ago I tried to find out about Managua...where to stay and go out...and about Quizala for surfing and to pitch a tent. Hmm, writing in Spanish wasn´t the clever way ; )
Now with a bit more words, I have lived in Central America many years back and am looking in Managua for a local! safe place to stay. Any idea on where that coul be, would be great! and if a place to dance the night through is close by, pues excelente!
To improve my surfing, I will go to Quizala. I will take my tent. So any recomendation for a safe camp possibility close to the waves?
Would be great to hear from you! Thanx

Well, I tried to find a place in Managua myself and found:
>> Managua Backpackers Inn (Colonial Los Robles, Chaman Viejo 75 varas al sur, Casa #55) USD 10 in dorm
>> El Hostal de la Abuela (Casa No. 32, Villa Fontana)
>> Hostal San Agustín, Managua (Planes de Altamira, de la Vicky 2c. al Oeste, casa #157)
>> Casa de Huespedes Santos (De la Central Sandinista de Trabajadores 2c al Sur 1/2c Arriba). USD 15
>> Villa Catalina (Villa Venezuela, Grupo A, frente al Anden 9 | Ferreteria Contrumas Ivan Montenegro 3 Cuadras al Sur). USD 18
>> Doctor Boutique Hotel (Villa Fontana - Club Terraza 2c Abajo, 2c al Sur, 1 1/2 cuadra abajo mano derecha, # 156-1). USD 20
Any opinion on any of those? Thanx

...and with regard to Quizala..thanx God the internet does not hold all the answers...and I have not found answers yet...but maybe you might have one.
Also, if there are other spots for wanna-be-surfers like me, close by Managua, I´d love to hear from them too.

Make sure and go on Tripadvisor for all those choices. That's how I get all my info .. Good Luck!

I try to avoid the internet bubble. But I like the net to receive and give advise. Like yours, TD, thanx!
It´s nice to get first hand advise that is not even in the net...processed then by computers "trying to think like a human" and comercializing the personal advise.
Other is, what about all these lovely, cosy places to stay in, that have not even a landline ; ) and will appear never on the "uniformed" net...
Wish you all out there, on and in the water, a great day!!
