Hiring Boats in SJDS« on: November 28 2006 14:11:00 »
I am going to be living in SJDS for several months this summer. In Bali, and Indonesia, you can hire locals with boats to take you out to breaks for only a few dollars. Is this the case in SJDS, or is it difficult to hire fisherman to take you to local breaks?

your heading to the most comercial surf town in nicaragua, you can rent boats, but it wont be a few bucks. once you get there it wont be long before you learn the ropes.

i know that the companies that actually run surf charters are pretty expensive, but aren't there like just fishermen around? i mean what you are saying is basically the same deal in indo, it is extremely surf touristy, so there are lots of expensive surf charters. but there you can just be like, dude can you just boat me out to this spot, drop me off and then come back in a few hours. does that type of thing not exist there?
