With the growth of the Nicaraguan surfing industry, you would think that a resulting growth in the retail sector would follow. I´ve been in Nicaragua for a year, and the only place I´ve been able to find boards is SJDS. Even there the selection is limited. It seems that someone is missing out on a chance to make some dough. Are there any other board retailers that I´m missing? I live in a volunteer community and many want to purchase boards but the supply is very limited. Any ideas? Any reply is a great chance to advertise. |

Try Izic @ Los Cardones. I know for a fact he has three used boards in good condition for sale. They were left there by a friend of mine. |

Hi, we're 6 surfers going to nicaragua this summer... Very worried by Continental that said us "No possibility to bring surf boards" there... Any idea? It's cause of an embargo or something like this...

What about buying boards in Tamarindo (CRica)? There's a lot of choice, not that expensive and maybe close to San Juan Del Sur???

Go to San Juan and look for Eu, all the locals know him. He has alot of diffrent boards for sale or rent. He buys and sells them from traveling surfers and he has fair prices.. the name of his surf shop is San Juan Surf and Sport.. tell him Randy sent you!!! |

Yeah!!! Eu is a great person... he will give you a good deal... and in my opinion the only honorable surf shop owner in san juan. His shop is right in the middle of town, around the corner from that other shop/camp.... he has lots of boards/ fair prices. |

oh, and there is a decent shop with new pricie boards in Managua... in the Metro Centro.. it is called SANDS Surf shop... last time they hard a few shorties, a couple of fun boards, and one longboard... they had bags/racks too. |

Hey guys, that surf shop is in Galleria, not metro centro. I will do ther tomorrow and see what the selection is like. I had to bring my board from Canada...now i live here.
