recommendations on place to stay and surf« on: August 29 2007 12:08:00 »
I'm planning a trip to Nicaragua next year and would really, really appreciate any advice on where to stay.
I have been informed that girlfriends and beginners are coming along, but there are going to be some people who are definitely advanced as well. Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice place to stay on the beach that has easy access to beginner and advanced spots?
I have also been informed that the less travel to spots the better.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check out Los Cardones. It is an eco lodge that is relatively close to Managua. The food is awesome and there are a bunch of waves in the area ranging from beginner to advanced. They have a web page so do a search.

Just came back from Popoyo... we stayed at El Toro Surf .. I think the web is torosurfnicaragua.com ... but I am sure Google will do it better than me !!
Great rooms, great restaurant / food at an excellent price... no negatives. Close to different spots
Good Luck !

I agree with 'MONO' ... I stayed at El Toro Surf and the place was perfect... Rooms / Restaurant...
They even have a boat / and make boat trips if you want to... and for people like that don't like tour type of thing you can do your own thing and is great
Great food and hospitality !! .. just go there and you will see
