I'm interested in surfing Nic but am concerned about how big and consistent it really is down there. Looking for heavy tubes and big surf...is it a sure thing going down there late summer to get that kind of surf? Is it comparable to HI, Puerto Escondido, Pascuales, or even Norcal in size and consistency? Any info would be great.

Hi, it's hollow when there is swell, with the offshores. Not consistantly hollow as indo or hawaii. the outer reef in popoyo is insane and high quality but it needs to be a solid south. if you can wait for the surf forecast then book a last minute trip on a big south then you will score. lower crowds than bali or hawaii.
