Crowds at spots?

Which spots are best to avoid in Nicaragua? I hear Madera gets pretty busy, any others?

RE: Crowds at spots?

Don't waste your time taking a boat to Colorado's.  There are much better waves accessable by boat north of Popoyo.  Colorados is overhyped and super crowded.

RE: Crowds at spots?

Everywhere south of Popoyo is crowded.  Any spot that has a name will have at least 20 people on it all day.   The over-hyped spots will push 40 to 50 people all summer.  Boat rides are a waste of time and money as land access has dramatically improved.  The days of surfing all alone are over in Nicaragua.  Welcome to "the next Coast Rica".
