It is like any other growing tourist/surf town. Just be cautious and avoid dark lonely places and you will be just fine. Always keep a copy of your passport seperate just in case.

nothing is secure in central america ! nica is horrible. lose everything when you go surfing .pass port, c.c. cards, cloths,
everything travels ! surf trunks are all your leave with, theifs
are everywhere waiting a chance, only matter of time.

Stay at El Pacifico Hotel. 24 sec. and you won't have to lock your room. Own by a German couple. English or Spanish.
