Place to Stay with Best Surf« on: May 27 2009 12:05:00 »
I will be out in Nicaragua from June 19th - 27th. My buddy and I are looking to stay somewhere that is centerally located to the best breaks. We have considered some of the various surf camps as they have access to boats and experienced guides. We don't want to waste a bunch of time looking for the best waves and would rather hop on a boat and have a local guide who knows the breaks take us around. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to stay? Also, can you hire people to take you by boat if you are not staying at one of the surf camps? Finally, any indications on how the surf is around late June would be much appreciated.

That is very easy - Hacienda Iguana or Rancho Santana. They both have 2 or 3 breaks inside their gates. The surf camps will bring you here anyway, trust me. You do not need to stay in a camp to have access to boats - you can get one in San Juan del Sur or Gigante. June is a high surf season so expect to meet some new people. The waves and winds are very favorable but it is the rainy season so expect a few afternoon thunderstorms and muddy roads. Feel free to email me with any questions or you can check out our website - www.playacoloradocondo.com.

I am the man you are looking for. I know the places to stay, boats to hire, and which roads to take to get to the surf. Places like iguanas and rancho santana have private entrances and can only be accessed by boat or someone staying there, unless you know the roads around, which is where I come in. Email if interested.
