where to stay in nicaragua?« on: September 16 2009 05:09:00 »
i have 3 months off from december 09 to february 2010. i'd like to travel around central america. the first 4 weeks i'd like to take spanish classes either in costa rica or nicaragua. maybe private classes so i learn a lot in a short time!
it has to be cheap and surf should be good. i'm thinking about san juan del sur. how is sjds?? are surfsports right there or do i need a car? i'm not a very good surfer... don't need huge waves.
please let me know if you have any tips about spanish school, accomodation, surfsports and so on.
thanx for your help!

Been surfin nica for 11 yrs now, from managua. Used to do surf tours a while back... once again i want to provide surf guide service... excelent for people who want to have all the inside info, learn alot on their trip about nica culture, history, gastronomy, and surf. and also feel free to move around from one surf region to the other quikly and efectively, getting in the water the most posible and surfing the best waves acording to the forecasts, tides.... these would be costumed arranged trips, based on your needs, budget etc...
at your service

Stay in Masachapa on the beach, at a little place called Casa LaSasso, the local surfers that hang out there will take you where you want to go. If the local beaches, Pochomil,Montelimar,Masachapa, are not what you want hop in a panga and surf quisala, san diego, and other great spots. $40 dollars a night for a double occupancy room, with a/c and a private bathroom. they also rent out hammocks for the night at $10. check their website out for pics and vids, www.surfmasachapa.webnode.com
