looking to rent a cheap house near some surf

Anyone have any info on where i might find a cheap house with a kitchen to rent for a month on the westcoast of nicaragua? How about some intermediate breaks around san juan del sur?

RE: looking to rent a cheap house near some surf

Typically most houses rent anywhere from $100-$200 a month. Best bet is to get down to SJDS and ask around.

You will most likely need to purchase a tiny stove with a tank, you can get the stove and tank at the market for a total of about $100 mid size fridge/freezers are also cheap like $150

Usually the people renting want you in longer than just 1-3 months, but if you ask around someone will surely give you a good deal.

There are other options such as families that rent out rooms or apartment type spaces. Just ask around.

My buddy owns a home up north on 17acres ocean front point with 2 breaks (reef and beach in front).  You'll likely have the water to yourselves.  it's 2 bedroom with open-air living area/kitchen with pool.  Shoot me an email at stevet1@hotmail.com if you're interested and I'll see if I can dig up a photo.  It rents for 150 day.
