September Weather - Rain« on: April 15 2010 15:04:00 »
Another weather question...
My spring trip my be delayed until September...ugh! Target area is from Las Salinas down to Gigante and surrounding beaches...hopefully Cosiguina and beaches a little south of there. Looking at this site, Sept rainfall doesn't look too bad but LP and Moon says it is one of the rainiest months of the year. I don't mind some rain but a vacay in a flood...not fun. (I realize swells don't mean sun but I like the sun) Travelling alone means no rental car also. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hola! Yes, September is a rainy month but not as bad as October, which is our worst month for rain and south winds that blow out the surf! If your looking to come early in September, that would be your best bet to get some rain but still get good surf. As for sun, if it is a normal year you will get some sun too. Still in an El Nino pattern down here but hoping it breaks and we have a normal rainy season this year. For more information about San Juan del Sur check us out at www.Ranchocecilianicaragua.com

Hola, May has started our rainy season and we have had some south wind, blown out surf. That usually happens with the season change but doesn't last long. They are calling for off shores to be back to normal this coming week and looks like the surf forcast for head high plus!
