I've been in Nicaragua last november and spend most of my trip at Las Plumerias.
One of my best trips ever, the "cabanas" are really nice, lot's of fun with the other guys staying there, the food is amazing!!!
The owners are french, really friendly, they take care of everything, they've got lot's of experience in Nicaragua and we've been surfing incrdible waves.
Perfect place for your girlfriend, plenty of spots around and if she wants Emy is a surf coach.
Can't wait to go back!!!

I just booked into a brand new hotel called casa de olas and it looks amazing.
Its a much cheaper option with free beach transport. They also own a boat so you can reach the best parts that roads dont reach.
www.casa-de-olas.com is the site.

Pete, that place looks like a very mediocre place, you sure you are not spamming your own place here on the forum?

looks like a great place for the price think i'll b there in august myself. Only thing is it's location... do those papagayo wind blow there all the time too?? or is that a lil too far up north. One of my whole reasons for goin to nica is that I'm planning so far ahead and taking a risk but those winds are suppose to be very consistent.

I was in Las Plumerias from december 13th to 23rd. It was my second stay over there (I also stayed las year) and it was perfect , again!
Food is great.
Surf guiding is just awesome : we picked the best spots and times for surfing and had multiple beautiful sessions.
Accomodations are awesome too and very clean.
I'll definitely come back again and highly recommend.
