Wetsuit for surfing Southern Norway (Stavenger, Saltstein etc) in December« on: October 06 2015 16:10:00 »
Hello Norwegian surfers.
I'm an Australian travelling to Norway this December to spend Christmas with my girlfriends family. I'm hoping to score some waves early December. My question is what is the minimum wetsuit thickness I could get away with without freezing. Research suggests a 6mm or 5mm suit is best suited but I have an opportunity to pick up a cheap Xcel drylock 4/3 with hood, boots & gloves. Unless it's the day of the decade I'm not expecting to be having long surfs, it's more about the novelty of surfing in Norway for me than chasing long sessions. Admittedly I have no idea about cold water surfing, coming from the Gold Coast I wear a 2mm short arm mid winter haha. Any input would be much appreciated.
