Hve seen decent waves breaking on the norhern edge of Vanna. Drive to Ringvassøya and take the ferry to Vannøya.

There is a surfspot 30 min drive from Tromsø. The place is called Grøtfjorden.

Just surfed at a place called Senje, it's the biggest island in the Tromso area. 4 -5 foot right hand point break, just around the corner from a beach called Ersfjord which also has waves. It's about a 2 hour drive from Tromso city, but it's totally worth it. Much better than Grotfjord..Just check the weather for storms approaching, I camped overnight and woke up to a very nice suprise..
