Surf board access across Central america« on: June 11 2013 04:06:00 »
Me and my partner are planning a surf/backpacking trip through panama, costa rica, Nicaragua for july august and september, where should we surf? I'm intermediate comfortable in most conditions and my wife is a progressing beginner.
We are unsure if we should try and get boards in each country and sell them when we leave. How easy is it to travel with boards? our concern is that we won't be surfing for the whole time making carrying boards around a bit of a ball ache.
How easy is it to buy boards out there (second hand of course) and if it's possible to get hold of beginner boards out there.
Any advice would be much appreciated

How about renting boards, lots of places rent them for around 75 USD per week
