Surf Honeymoon in Panama. Recs?« on: October 10 2013 10:10:00 »
Never been to Panama. Always wanted to go. Trying to find some good places to look. Have been all over the place. Fiji, Samoa, Australia, Tassie, Mexico, France, Spain, Costa Rica, etc. Wanted someplace close that I hadnt been. Figured Panama would be a great place to check out. Looked on Waterways website. They have a camp that is on the Carribean. Wasnt sure about the consistency there.
Anybody have any reccommendations on the West Coast as well as Carribean.

Hi Harris, during what month of the year you are coming to Panama? The Pacific of Panama work with south swells from April to October. November to March is more for Caribbean. Contact the people of "Leading Adventures" in Panama, they can organize your stay and find best waves during your trip https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=354701391271315&l=03513a246a

If you plan to go in the Azuero peninsula (south-west of panama) you can find one of the best and consistant spot I've ever surfed : the Playa Venao. It is located 30 min after Pedasi and you can find really good accomodations for a correct price. I advise you to go to the Beach Break Hotel and Surf Camp, they provide good service and the staff is really helpful and friendly.

stay at Rancho Estero in Santa Catalina - the most romantic and quite place in from of the surfbreak.
with no surf - go to Sail at San Blas islands. Super romantic honeymoonish!
skip Bocas - no romance. lots of drugged teenagers.
