If ya want definate waves go to Santa Catilina. Tetas is a great break if there is a swell and it is only an hour from Panama city. Catilina takes 5-6 hours from the city. Try Rio Mar too, not bad. Playa Venodo past Los santos is a great beach break for this time of the year, takes 5 hours from the city. I lived there for 4 years 89 to 93 in the Army, all i did was surf when I did't have to work. Love that place!!

Looking to surf in Panama, where is a hot spot to surf some swell. Any size waves just lookin for some suggestions. Also, is it possible to rent a board down there or should i bring one? What are the size waves and a good size board.

I suggest you bring a board you like because renting them sucks. They usually charge between 10 and 20 bucks for the board and the selection is not great. As for waves... check out the forecast and head to where its biggest. Just get on a bus and go. Youll get there. Panama is easy and the people friendly. Youll love it.
