panama surf trip ideas« on: June 06 2007 14:06:00 »
Me and my buddies are heading down end of June for 2 weeks. We are kinda struggling between getting a car or just boating it. Also we are looking to develope some general game plan and/or hook up with a local and have them cruise with us.
Anyone got an opinions, or ideas on the matter? Would love to hear about old experieces or whatever.

I just got back from Panama, and it would definately help out if you guys got a car. I did the whole bus thing and it was pretty tough with boards theres not always room and occasionaly if there is room youll get charged extra. Rent a car and go up the pacific coast towards panama, no surf on the carribean side this time of year. San Carlos has a few good spots I found a really good wave a little north of this town called Pedasi its called Combutal really good long right break. If theres swell definately check out Santa Catalina dont stay at Oasis surf camp though expensive and dirty. Pretty much cant go wrong if your driving up the pacific coast
