Santa Catalina Accomidations

I am in school online and looking for a good surf spot to chill, knock out online classes, and surf.  Santa Catalina looks good to me but I want to know about the availability of internet there.  Anyone have some insight?

RE: Santa Catalina Accomidations

I was at the Punta Brava surf lodge a few years ago, very very basic accommodation, not cheap, barely electricity, so don't think the internet would be any good there either.

Good wave, shitty town.
Have fun

Re Santa Catalina

Hotel Catalina has free Internet if you are staying there.  Look it up.

RE: Santa Catalina Accomidations

Hello,

I've been to Santa Catalina in 2004. Got me some good friends over there. If your looking for a place to crash and cheap. I could hook you up maybe.... i stayed there for 20 days. Good surf when it's on. early morning sessions where the best. And right close by there is an internet cafe. should be okey for a small village.
It's called cabana's de Rollo. when i was there, it cost me $7,- p/p/n..(for a bed)..
I recommend chek it out.

Try the arepitas, food is really cheap and alcohol also.

Enjoy....

RE: Santa Catalina Accomidations

There is free Wifi in some place in Santa Catalina, including Surfside Inn, which is right in front of the wave. They also have free coffee in the mornings, and the rooms are pretty cheap (from about $12-$40) There is a nice social area too. In town, there is an internet cafe that has FAST satilite internet

RE: Santa Catalina Accomidations

That Surfside inn still looks like the dump it was when it was called the Punta Brava surf lodge. Some new paint on the outside is not good enough to ever get me to stay over there again. The worst place I have ever stayed at, waste of time and money
