Best way to get to Mancora« on: November 03 2015 20:11:00 »
What's the best way to get to Mancora? Through Lima or the nearest airport in Equador?
Is it easy to get boards there?

I have done both ways, trough Ecuadort ( guayaquil) thought it was going to be a few hours, turned into 8-10 hour trip plus border crossing.
Lima has some very good overnight busses with flat bed seats, take 20 or so hours but is comfortable.
Last few times I flew from Lima to Piura, and then a 3 hour taxi to mancora

Hi @Jeroen, Thanks for that information. I am wanting to go near the end of Feb from Santiago. I would love to get to Mancora. What were the costs, ad in your opinion the easiest/cheapest route. If you were to do it again, which would you go. Im very limited for budget so dont want to pay a fortune on surfboard cargo fees. @jorge Is it decent to fly to Lima and connect to talara? Are you aware of any taxes on boards? Thanks guys, appreciate the advice. Need to book soon.
