no area code, if you are calling from USA call 011-511- and the number.
011-is to dial outside USA
51 is Peru code
1 is Lima code
there are lots of places where you can rent your board

You can buy an new board from Klimax in Lima for 300$ or pick up a SH board for less. That what i do (150$). Don't pay the airline vultures!

hey, a lot of time since the first message!
here is the deal:
i ended up buying a good used board there (not Klimax - they want too much, but some other store, don't remember the name but can show on the map of Miraflores)
it cost me $150.
on my last day in Lima i sold that board right on Pampilla beach for $100. I guess i could get more, but was in a hurry.
but that was summer (christmas time) and the beach was crowded as hell.

as for prices - they are pretty much the same as in US. At least in Miraflores :)) But that was my starting point so i had to get a board there.
Used 6'6", good condition: ~$160, negotiable.
Almost new, 7'6": ~$230, also negotiable.
Those i saw at the surfshop on Calle BERLIN (i wish i rcould remember the intersection), big poster "ATELLO" on the entrance. There's just one guy running that place. Prices are better then KLIMAX (everyone knows that shop).
