pacasmyo peru

I was there in jan 06 for 2 weeks, wish it was more. had a great time, surf was the most consistant 3 to 5. Great longboard wave/funboard too. It never changed the whole time I was there. Was a very long left, strong current I must say. I have pics of this place with me surfing. Stayed at a beach front hotel where my partner could photograph me surfing from our balcony. I have plans to go back in 2007. I met a family while I was there and went to a birthday party and met the whole family, I bought 2 guitars and my partner and I played guitar for them and gave the guitars to the family when the party was over. When I left I gave them my tent, sleeping bags. Im going to bring a few surfboards and wetsuits when I go back. All the surfer kids that I met were friendly and enjoyed the time I was there.

RE: pacasmyo peru

gets good on big, high period swells, but the punta hermosa area is a lot more consistent. most points need a good swell to show the goodies but it can be fun when it isnt. lots of touristy stuff to do all over the country. jungle, mountains, coast, check the maps and plan your time. there are a few beachies in the far north that are always breaking. spend some time. get to know the locals, the culture, and la onda, and you will go home happy. its a place that you need to spend some time and you will love it as much as i do. es a su recontra...

RE: pacasmyo peru

I had wicked waves in Pacasmayo...and had a great time in the town also...one thing though...went to a ruin about 30 mins north...it was in the Lonely Planet...was with my GF and we got seriously mugged by three guys...I definately recomend hiring a cab if you go to these ruins and if some guy tries to sell you a Canon Ixus 3.2 MB camera without an SD card....ITS MINE!! Enjoy
