As soon as you arrive to Perú in Lima call to this friend "Fernando Díaz" to the number 4720399; He´s going to help you to get every beach you wanna go. Chicama is a Beach that breaks the whole year but there are several beaches that are around it that you gotta go. Fernando is a good friend and experienced surfer. My Name is John I´m peruvian too, but now I´m living in Spain. If you have any question you can write to y e-mail or Fernando´s mail: email@example.com
Good Waves and good surfing !!!

Your a little ahead of the winter season but keep in mind Peru goes off during this time. Winter getting ready so the transition period is coming. Chicama needs a good swell for surf. I would stay around Lima at Punta Hermosa etc. Then if a good ground swell comes thru jump on a bus and bam!!!! I really think Lima alone will fill all your needs and Chicama is a special place which if you catch it will keep you going back!!
