Lima in August?

« on: July 09 2006 00:07:00 »

Anybody know if any spots not too far from Lima (300-400kms) have good conditions in August. I'm not used to being on a tight scheduale, but work sucks. Also how thick of a wettie should I be sporting? Cheers big ears!

If you don't have too much time, you can check San Bartolo, about 2 hours south of Lima.
Many people from Lima go there on the week ends, so it's well known and easy to find. You can surf in the main bay, but there are a few spots around. Ask for a local called Mingo once there.
If you have more time, head north to Chicama. Awsome empty waves, but in a very remote area.
Buena suerte

San bartolo is NOT 2 hours south, only 35 minutes driving....I've surfed there my entire life.
