Peru - conditions and vibe?

« on: April 19 2007 22:04:00 »

I'm pumped to be heading to Lima in mid-may, its looking like Lima has some good waves to keep me busy when i first land, i just wannt to know if i need a wetty, i was thinking a 3:2 springy should do it?
And what about further north in Chicama and pascamayo. Whats the water temp like?

Anybody travelling peru and ecuador late May and onwards who want a couple a surf safari budies let me know, we'll be looking to share some transport to some private spots!

ciao

I will be surfing in Peru May 5 through July 8. I am interested in surfing north of Trujillo, Piura, Casma, etc. I would love to hook up with some good fella's and  share some great breaks...

Arriving south America end May. Probably starting trip in florinopilis - novice surfer but want to share a truck/ cruise about in any direction until end August. Must get a weeks skiing in though, hopefully on the steep and deep in Las Lenas or Termas de Chilean. Then on to OZ. Be happy to pay more for fuel/possibly rent the truck as long as I'm with some experienced surfers to keep me out of trouble in the water.
