Surf conditions size?

« on: May 11 2007 20:05:00 »

Hello, I am going to be traveling through Peru, Lima and northern regions. I would like to know what size of waves are expected in that area during the months of june and july. I am planning on bringing boards in the middle 6 foot range. Are the majority of spots, left points around the head to double over head on the best day? Or are the waves generally big?

The waves in north of Peru the majority is around 2 to 3 meters. Be sure you are bringing the boards for this size but the waves not always are big here and just could be double over head in good days.

In the North of Peru you may find waves around 2-4 Meters in size.
In the south  you can fins between 3-5 meters except for pico alto 6+ meters.
Go to chicama in the North and surf the longest wave in the world.

Good luck mate
