Peru in July/August« on: July 14 2007 10:07:00 »
I am heading down to Peru from the 18th of July to the 9th of August to primarily surf. Can anyone recommend some surf camps or hostels close to good breaks? I am going to be moving around the coast so location is going to change. Any help is appreciated. If you want to meet up that is welcome as well.

I am heading to peru north coast in august to surf/windsurf.
Is it safe enough to camp?

What do you mean with camp? as in pitch a tent?
No that's not safe!
Peru is not a place to stay in a tent, stay in good places with a good security system. Doesn't have to be expensive.

Hi guys! I just came back from a trip to the Peruvian north shore. Sorry if I couldn’t answer your e-mails but I was in the middle of no where having so mach fun I will try to answer your mails anyways.
Elias. There are many surf camps along the coast. Just south of Lima for example there are many many. . There are a few good ones I know…. Punta Hermosa is a good beach where there are some good surf camps like Sergio’s surf camp and la Isla.
I’m leaving to the north again tomorrow at night guiding.. I hope to see you guys in the water!

keep low profile, people is mellow if you are friendly, caution is a global thing this days, even in Santa Barbara you can get stabbed right!!!!
