The water is cold for Peru at this time either a 4/3 or 3/2 will be enough. Booties yes, many rocky spots etc. Northern Peru the water temp changes a whole lot. I would say from Chiclayo to Lima be prepared for a fullsuit and booties. Also check out a site called Wannasurf.com for some good info also Tracks mag. has a good info under travel for Peru.

looking to travel all over the coastline of peru between january through february.... I am curious about water temperatures, what types of westuits will i need during those months? Also, i have never been to peru, so if anyone can point me in good directions on where to go and not to go it will be greatly appriciated.

Thanks again
