Surf trip to Peru--wanna join??« on: May 07 2009 23:05:00 »
Hey...i am headed from Portland, OR to Peru on June 17th and have "plans" to stay until July 16th. I was supposed to go with friend and plans fell through. I am still going and am not excited about a solo venture...a bit nervous about it to be honest.
I am looking for anyone willing to travel up the coast from Lima to Northern Peru...have sights on the Trujillo/Chicama area. I am a beg/int surfer and great travel partner...very adventurous...yet super chill.
Give me a shout out if you are either already there and wanna little adventure or may be heading there and wouldn't mind a pretty cool chic tagging along.
I just wanna surf and hang out....would like to do some traveling around but surfing is my priority.

Hey there. I am going to be in Peru from June 19th through the 12th and am planning on doing a surf trip up to the Chiclayo/Trujillo area (Chicama, Pacasmayo, etc.) sometime after the 27th. I am an intermediate longboarder chica and am considering hiring a guide if I do it solo, but would love to go in with someone else. Shoot me an email at sky.stanfield (at) excite.com if you are interested in chatting about maybe doing a trip together.

I have read all messages and I think you must take a look in those pages eco-innovationtours.com is a tour agency who does surf trip for all over Peru. They have some times people like you who are looking for other people to split expenses in they’re trips. I think this work for the guys that are looking to book something before you go.

For the guys that are looking to learn Spanish mysurfcampperu.com they also have Spanish classes, surf trip, surf equipment, surf school etc. It would be great place were you also can stay a few days to contact people who want to go to Chicama or Trujillo area. Because most surfers wait for the swell in Punta Hermosa, where the swell is extremely consistent, then when a strong swell come sufers look for others surfers here to go up North to Trujillo o Chicama area.
