The only problem is I'm not going to brings my boards with me and all ill have is my backback, so I've researched and can't find any place in or near chicama that will def rent boards. I'm only gonna be there for one day. Any information and help would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't stop at Chicama as the swell was small. I went to Pacasmayo about an hour I think further North. It picks up a lot more swell, they had a surf shop, can't remember if they rented or not. I would stop in if you are coming down th ecoast because if there are no waves at Pacasmayo, don't bother stopping at Chicama, it will be flat. If they do rent boards at Pacasmayo and the swell is up, you might be abl eto take it down to Chicama, and bring it back in the same day, a bit of a hassle though. Good luck.
