Im going to Huanchaco near Trujillo in June to surf and want somewhere to stay! Anyone been and know anywhere? I have heard a few and heard some mixed reviews of Casa Suiza.. anyone know what it's like? Looks cheap but could be crap I suppose?

Hotel Bracamonte is a great place to stay, superb, safe rooms, close to surf and excellent value.

Peru is certainly one of the best unknown Surf Destination of the world!!! You want to hit the longest waves in the world, head North to Huanchaco and Chicama. The weather is crazy good during their summer (December to April) and there is not one day without a surfing wave!!!!
Ok....Now here are the best tips of this place....go and stay at McCallum Hostal. Its clean and well managed by the nicest familly. You stay there for like 7$ a day and you can eat La Mama food for like 2-3 bucks a meal....Its crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the surf School, go to 'The Break Point' Surf School and Cyber-Cafe....Best teachers and great quiet surfers hang out with coffees, games,
