Buying Boards in Chicama Area?

« on: June 08 2011 12:06:00 »

I am going to chicama area in late July.  I would rather not bring my boards, save money on transport, etc.  If I fly into trujillo, does anyone know if there will be a decent selection of shortboards to buy at huanchaco or chicama and about how much they will cost? thanks a lot!!!!!!!

I think there's usually a few boards for sale in Chicama, ask Zorro, or go to the El Hombre hostel, not a huge selection as far as I know, rough guess is between 150 and 250 US$ for a board.
Have fun!

Never spend much time in Trujillo, Spend some time in Huanchaco, so some board rental places but of similar kind as Chicama.

Maybe Lima is a good bet. LAN normally only charges 50 dollar for boarda

Hello guys!

You also can save money exchange your surf equipment for staying on my surf camp Peru many people do not take your surf equipment back home my surf camp Peru is located in Punta Hermosa very close to Lima.

You also can write surfaris Peru. They can custom your surf boards with the best shaper in Peru and drop the board in the airport of Lima than you can go to Chicama area with a new surf board.
