I'm from the Philippines. In June, you might want to try out Zambales, which is about 3 hours from Manila.

In La Union, the season'll be just about to end in mid-March, so I'm not sure if there'll be surf by then.

Have you heard of Calicoan island? Fantastic! Its an hour flight from Manila, you can charter an airconditioned people's carrier to take you on a 3 hour scenic route journey into Calicoan, I know of a spacious accomodation which takes up to 10 people which you might be interested. email me

I just know of an ideal place for you. Have you heard of Calicoan island? It is very much on the Pacific Ocean side. Its an hour flight from Manila. You can even have a tour guide/chef/shopper at a very reasonable price while you are there. You can be met at the airport and you can have the choice of travelling in an airconditioned bus into Calicoan. I advise you to stay there at least a week because when you get board of surfing there are places to see! I know of a massive house there for rent which takes up to 10 people.
