First Timer - Where To Learn (contact #'s, etc.)

« on: July 25 2006 05:07:00 »

My friends and I are interested in learning surfing. Is August a good time to start, or should we wait for September?

I've seen a lot of resort names being tossed around (surf camp, sunset resort, crystal, etc.), but could someone please post CONTACT DETAILS for these resorts, and any instructors/guides  that could help us out?

Thanks a lot!

Uh oh. You're right. I just called Crystal Beach, and they're full. Only vacancy is after the comp (21st).

Can someone recommend other resorts in the area? We still want to go to Crystal (I was told there are free surfing lessons during the comp.)

Hey Brian did you get to try surfing out? Crystal Beach would be good and there are boards there for rent.  Fiveforty surf co. has rental boards at Crystal Beach and Pundakit - both in Zambales. You can email trysurfing@fivefortysurfco.com :)

Hi,
Yes, I got to go to Pundaquit last weekend (sat-mon) for the zambapalooza event. I've signed up for the surfmoney camp this weekend too, so I'm going back this weekend.
