I grew up in subic bay from 87-92 surfed Grandie island , Capones off san maguiel and had the pleasure to go to majestics on catanduanes for two weeks and wish i was back there every day. woundering if there is places to stay on catanduanes still. like i said it was along time ago but a fresh memeory. Iam sure there is countless waves still waiting to be found may go back next year any info on catanduanes would be great catch some waves for me because the east coast is beat.

grande is a good spot man but risky coz some fishermen used dynamite for fishing and acces going there is hard.waves are consistent and needs lots of paddling going out.

hmmmmm! I've been there when I was little. I just don't remember waves being consistent and it's facing china sea Im sure there's waves there when there's a storm. yeah! Im aware of the dynamite fishing they do that in morong also. we use to take the u.s. military shuttle when I was young to get to grande island. I just didn't bother going there on my last trip. and plus the fishermen doesn't throw their dynamite when they see people. lol!.

catanduanes is still the same nothing change except for some resorts there but the spot is still the killer waves when it's perfect.there are other spots in bicol need to explore however i know somewhen do you plan to visit.contact me.

is there a surfing contest in catanduanes this year??
i was there last year, it was a big contest, some wqs guys,big prizes! and the waves was epic! 12 broken boards during the contest.sana makabalik don this year...

nope! my dad was. we use to live in the philippines that's when my dad was stationed there. after that nothing change in the game of life. I didn't want to follow the old man's foot steps. I love my freedom.

theres a new place to stay now at majestics angiesbedandbreakfast.com an upscale b&b with air con rooms ,sat tv, internet with killer ocean views. rooms run about 1000p with free breakfast. angie is known for her international food choices. mexican, thai, and great t bone steak dinners to name just a few. check it out next time you go tube riding on catanduanes
