Where to for solo beginner's lesson

« on: November 09 2006 02:11:00 »

Hello Folks,

Hoping you could help:

I am currently volunteering in Pangasinan and just learned I would have an extended weekend to myself. I thought why not explore surfing. I had taken a beginner's course in Costa Rica but that's a couple of years ago and hadn't hit the board except to windsurf, which is different no?

So anyway, do recommend where I should head north. La Union? Where would be a good place for a single girl to get a friendly beginner's class and chill at the end of the day? Is there a friendly resort offering classes, including board rental etc? Not too crowded, but not too isolated. Not too expensive.

Thanks so very much!

Hi! Dada.

Try Monaliza in La Union. There is a Yokohama Surf School and must have board for rent. They offer surfing lesson.

I was there Oct 20 - 23, 06. Stayed in Sunset German resort in San Juan L U.
