Do I need to bring boards?« on: February 24 2007 09:02:00 »
Hi all -
I am an intermediate surfer coming to PI from SF Cali in late April to visit wife's family. Not a surf trip, but hoping to get a few good days in and want to save on the cost of transporting boards. Do most surf spots/areas have decent rentals? I am advanced beginner/intermedate surfer.

Not sure about the where yet.......I have no agenda and can travel anywhere within the islands. I am looking for medium-size, medium-skill surf. Not ready for Cloud 9 or super-knarly reef breaks.
I learned on longboards. Currently I ride an 8' Rusty Desert Island and 7'6" round pin, semi-gun (for larger stuff). Not quite a shortboarder yet.
