Well i won't be abandoning my lady & i'm still gonna be in PI's so i might just have to search a little further north la union way or something, ive heard jan-feb is a little fickle so who knows.. touch wood i get a typhoon swell.. right time right place.. still keen to explore Philippines as iv'e heard so many good reports, nice people, cheap etc.. if anyone has any info,it'd be much appreciated.. cheers

you should definitely try siargao island. Fantastic waves and lots of different surf spots. Very scenic and the journey to the island is an adventure in itself! Samar is also good but you better check the forecast first before heading there.

i dont know anything about surfing, but i want to try it. Where is the best lcation during october-december? and will there be a teacher or lesson that i could get there? price range?

Is Siargo still ok during January.. i've heard mixed reports, but i guess like anywhere its all in the timing..
