Are there any stand up paddle surfboards in the Philippines?

« on: June 21 2009 09:06:00 »

Does anyone know if there are any stand up paddle surfboards in the Philippines and if there are, where there are shops that might carry them?  It looks fun and probably easier to learn than regular surfing.

I think I saw one in 540... but you can also try Aloha boardsports. :)

Hi ,
Check out SoloPaddlesurf.com. We will be going to the Philippines to do a demo tour. Contact us through our website so that we can hook up when were there. We'll be there from July 16-Aug 3. We'll be going to some flatwater spots such as Anilao,Batangas and Subic but will also be hitting the surf spots in Luzon and Visayas.

what happened to my earlier post?  i replied earlier that aloha boardsports is selling paddle boards; that the owner of aloha himself is an accomplished paddle surfer; there are paddle boards in la union that one can try; that there are competent paddle surfers in la union; that its harder to learn first than prone surfing because it involves development of the leg muscles too (plus the muscles from waist up which is what are developed in prone surfing); and that yes, its fun.

i mentioned about the owner of aloha being a paddle surfer to emphasize the point that there are paddle surfers even here in manila.

there is no bad word, its not a spam and its not commercial.  why was it erased?

Yeah, the store named 540 in Manila has them.  I bought a NSP 10'2" there last year (40% off sale), and they had SUPs too.

Say I'm running a dive resort in San Jose Mindoro and I wanna bring start SUPs there since I had a great time doing it while I was abroad.  I've met up with two suppliers but looking for contact details for Aloha Boardsports.  I was told they were in Powerplant mall but I didn't see them today.  Please e-mail me for the details thanks.
