Facing the wave is easier than having your back to it. If you are a beginner it will be a while until you get this down.

i am also goofy ever since, i learned surfing in zambales, most of the time, right breaks, that's why there's not much choice for me but to surf the wave back side. its not that hard to learn, but its really easier if your facing the wave.
