Did you find surf in Palawan? I'm going in Jan - but I'm reading that it's not great on that part of the country; is that false?

I'm not much of surfer but I am into diving, and I do know that Palawan doesn't have any surfing. During the typhoon season the Pacific generates waves that hits our eastern shores like Siargao. And I do know that La Union province is the opposite. Sorry can't be of much help.
