Surf in October

Hi Sally,

Portugal is a very good place to start surfing, and october is eaven better cose theres less crowd and water is warmer.. Theres are few interesting places such as Lisbon Area, Peniche, Ericeira and Costa Vicentina wich all have nice beaches for starters..

I suggest Peniche cose youl be able to get the Rip Cur Pro Peniche from 10 to 21 October, havin the oportunity to see all the pros and their increcdible performances!

I you need any more advice or suggestion about places to stay, surflessons, local tours and activities just let me know..

Have a good time Sally

RE: surfing in october

Hello Sally

I'm a portuguese surfer and let me tell you that You come to the right place.

October it's still warm and the best surfing season starting

And if you're a surf lover we're having the Rip Curl Pro in Peniche with the best world Class surf 10-12October. We're going to see the best of the best:)

To stay I will advise you Ericeira - The World surfing reserve

This small fishing Village as plenty of spots and beachs for all surf levels and with the advantage that from here you can put your self to Peniche in 45ms drive or 30ms to Lisbon City

I've a small rustic house in Ericeira to rent if your're interested and if you need surf material (surfboard & girl full wetsuit) or contacts to surf lessons (group or personnal lessons) let me konw.

RE: surfing in october

Hi Sally, Portugal is really a great place to surf. You have the mellow Caparica near Lisbon, the experienced spots of Peniche and Ericeira and the truly paradise and friendly coastline of west Alentejo and Algarve. If you want to travel with free schedules and free destination may I suggest  a camper van. Take a look at portugalbyvan.wordpress.com, it's the entire coastline at lowcost. Either way you'll have a great time in Portugal, that's for sure. Cheers.
