Surf Trip Portugal end august / beginning september« on: July 11 2013 14:07:00 »
we plan with a friend to make a surf trip on the portugal cost for 2 weeks (only!) end of august beginning of september with a T2 combi van.
Our two fears are: people and the lack of waves.
Which part is suppose to receive the best waves for that period? I understood that people are around Lisbonne, peniche and the famous spot...
Why not to try the south around Lagos?
We hope someone will help us to plan our trip. Thank you for your comments?

Lagos - actually the entire Algarve - will not offer you any decent waves! try Carrapateira (just in the coastline above Algarve), Peniche and Ericeira. I would not recomend you Lisbon because is overcrowded.

Thibaut, Portugal in beginn´s setember as very nice waves, with a T2 combi van you just have to park near others caravans and you will have no problems, Just avoy the big citys
if you want to drive to the south i will advise you to go to Sagres, there you will find waves for sure because you will have 3-4 nice waves beachs there ( tonel, castelejo, zavial, cordoama) but if you really want to play safe then you should drive to Peniche or/and Ericeira, there you will find some dream waves (reefbreak and beachbreak) just goole it by this 2 names and you will see what i mean. Just one advice, be sure you respect the locals, sometimes they are not all frendly, but with respect no one will bother you
wish you a nice surf in my country,
