Portugal, Sagres, February

« on: June 12 2014 02:06:00 »

Hey there

Myself and my fiancé are looking to travel to Portugal, Sagres in February 2015 for our honeymoon.
I'm hoping to get some surf time in too, how is the weather generally will it still be relatively comfortable?

We will be travelling and living in one of the camper van options.

thanks for any advice!

congrats for the marriage. February is a good time if you're looking for some relative big swell and empty surfspots. Sagres is a really nice place with a good and mellow vibe. Is a very typical portuguese village and in February you'll find only the local people there. The weather is going to be around 15 to 20 CÂș during day time and a little colder during the night. If the swell is to big you can always find shelter in the south coast (Lagos is great) more protected from the open sea. I think you'll be relatively comfortable, as you say. If you need a campervan maybe we can help you. Take a look at and talk to us to get you a nice low-cost van. Anyway, I'm sure you'll have a great time. The people, the surf, the gastronomy and the heritage are waiting. Enjoy. See you.
